Time Manage for Exercise
You know that exercise is good for you, but you still feel you don’t have time to make it happen. Today is the day to stop making excuses and learn how to time manage for exercise. Everyone has time for exercise. It’s as simple as that. Many people just choose not to make the time to workout. Instead of complaining about those ten extra pounds you need to lose, do something about it by utilizing your time making your health a priority.
Time Manage for Exercise Tips
-
Make a list. Sit down with a pen and some paper. Write down everything you do from the time you wake up in the morning until the time you head to bed. You’d be surprised as to how much time you actually have during the day. Ask yourself questions such as: How much TV do I watch? Am I on the phone with friends all evening? If you find activities like these occupying a little too much time, you need to make some changes.
-
Get a daily planner. You can purchase a planner at your local retail store. Make an appointment to exercise and write it down. This is a great way to get into a faithful exercise routine.
-
Learn to say no. If people are constantly asking you to take care of things that aren’t your responsibility, tell them you are unable to do it for them until you have exercised that day. Once your workout is over, and if you have spare time, then you can help others out. You will never become a priority if you don’t start making yourself a priority.
-
Wake up earlier. If you are busy during the afternoon to early evening like the majority of people are, wake up an extra 30 minutes early each day and exercise. This will boost your metabolism and give you energy for the day ahead.
-
Take the stairs. Stop using the elevator at work as much as you do and start taking the stairs whenever possible.
-
Give up the good parking spot. If you’re the type to park as close as you can to the entrance of the office or store, let someone else park there. Park further and walk the longer distance for a change.
-
Cut your lunch in half. If you get an hour for lunch, use 30 minutes of it to eat and then use the other 30 minutes to walk. If it’s a nice day, walk a few laps around the office building. If you’re having nasty weather, do your laps inside.
-
Make family time, exercise time. If you have a family and enjoy getting out of the house, try doing something productive. Go bowling or swimming or bike riding. These are just a few enjoyable activities that are wonderful forms of exercise. They’re effective and they’re fun!
These are just some of the ways you can time manage for exercise. Basically, what it comes down to is whether or not you want to make time. You will never find the time until you realize how important exercise is. Reprioritize your life—your health should be number one on your to-do list. Exercising can keep you feeling and looking better if you stick to it.
Stop making excuses and start making progress! Take these tips and begin to time manage for exercise so you can reap the rewards. The choice is yours—just make sure you chose wisely.
