Exercise Your Way to Empowerment

Empowerment challenges our notions about the way things are and the way they can be. It enables people to gain control of their own lives. In order to feel empowered, you must first feel good about yourself. Instead of spending hours reading the many self-help books out there, you can exercise your way to empowerment. Consistently exercising can help you find that self-fulfillment and self-empowerment you’ve been looking for.

You can exercise your way to empowerment:

  • More energy. If you are fighting fatigue at the end of the day, the last thing you want to do is exercise. That’s understandable, but even being a little active will help you find more energy. If you are the type of person that needs more energy in order to handle all of your daily responsibilities, then start your morning off with a good workout. Working out first thing will give you that highly desired energy boost.

  • Better focus. Exercising helps more oxygen flow through the bloodstream and also, to the brain. A strong mind is definitely something that can make you feel empowered. When you are able to think clearly and focus, you are able to be powerful and in control.

  • Less stress. It’s hard to feel empowered if you have stress weighing you down. Stress causes us to be weak, anxious and irritable. Nothing really gets accomplished thoroughly when we are drowning in stress. Exercise is a fantastic way to release everything that weighs you down, allowing you to take charge of yourself and deal with the tasks at hand.

  • Builds strength. Exercise helps build more than just physical strength. However, when you feel physically stronger, you tend to feel mentally and emotionally stronger as well. When you have that strength and tap into it, you are able to deal with daily responsibilities and struggles that you may come across in life.

  • Better rest. You already know that exercising in the morning will help give you energy for the day. When all that energy gets used up, you can unwind from the day in a healthy way. Sleep will come more easily at night. Not only will you fall asleep faster, you will sleep more soundly.

  • Happiness. The happier you are with your physical appearance, the happier you are with the inner you. While you should try to find harmony with who you are as a person, regardless of your outward appearance, your self-esteem may still need an extra boost. Get that boost with exercise. You’ll look great on the outside and feel great on the inside. Happiness comes from healthiness.

  • Commitment. If you can commit to exercise and yourself, then you can commit to others. Yes, there are people in our lives that are important and need tending to at times, but you should keep yourself at the top of the list. Make a date with your tennis shoes. Committing to your health will help you commit to the other important things in life more easily.

By putting all of these things together, you can become that empowered and self-fulfilled person you have always wanted to be. All of these exercise benefits will make you feel complete. Remember, in order to gain empowerment, you have to focus on yourself first—you must make yourself a priority! Having a healthy body means having a capable body. Staying on the path to exercise your way to empowerment will take dedication and hard work, but you can do it. If you’re willing to work for it, then it can be yours.
